Located in the historic town of Ticonderoga, our home is on the northern end of Lake George, on what is known as the outlet. Just under the bridge to our north, the lake empties into the LaChute River where it drops 230 feet over the course of its two mile journey to Lake Champlain. While there is plenty to see and do on our end of the lake it is much more quiet than the bustling, tourist-laden villages of Bolton Landing and Lake George Village, about 40 minutes to the south. For that reason, we … are in a prime location for rest and relaxation, while still being only a short drive from many major attractions. Built in 1994, our house sits on two acres of direct lakefront, which is part of an 11 acre family compound. Each of the four family-owned parcels has about 200 feet of lakefront, for a total of 800 feet of sprawling shoreline.The main floor includes a large, open great room, which includes the living room, dining room and kitchen, so you never need to miss a moment of family activities, even if you draw the short straw, and have to cook, or wash the dishes. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, garbage disposal and automatic ice maker. The great room features a stone fireplace, sliding doors that open to an expansive wraparound deck, and a 25 foot cedar cathedral ceiling. The second floor master bedroom overlooks the great room via an open balcony, which includes light-blocking blinds for privacy. Along with an oversized chair-and-a-half, which is great for enjoying the fireplace or the view of the lake, the living room also includes a pull out queen-sized sleeper sofa, to help accommodate additional guests, or large families. Bedrooms are located on both floors of the house.The master bedroom, on the second floor has a king-sized bed, as well as a single twin, for parents who have a younger child, who might be more comfortable in the same room with Mom and Dad. The master bath has an oval jacuzzi tub, and is large enough for spreading out, or sharing with someone special. Perfect for unwinding after a hard day of relaxing! Our outdoor shower was a new addition for 2015. Not that you need to rinse off lake water, as you do with salt water, but we just thought it would be fun. Both main floor bedrooms have queen-sized beds and ample closet space. Both have lake views, looking north and south respectively. Assuming you can arrange your guests so that all double beds have two people, and using the twin in the master bedroom, you should be able to accommodate seven comfortably.

Rates
Rental Period is SATURDAY to SATURDAY. The summer rental rate (Memorial Day-Labor Day) is $3,500 per week. The spring & autumn rate (before Memorial Day and after Labor Day) is $2,500 per week. The $500 security deposit is not included. Tenants renting for multiple weeks will receive a discount of $100 for each Saturday that the cleaning service does not come. For example: If you rent for two weeks, there will be no cleaning on the middle Saturday. (For multi-week tenants, cleaning services will only be provided prior to and at the end of your stay.)

Pet Policy:
We are pet lovers. However, because animals may behave in unexpected ways when left alone in an unfamiliar place, we generally do not allow tenants to bring their pets to the home. Occasionally, we may reconsider, so feel free tell us what type of pet you wish to bring, and we can talk.
Smoking Policy:
No smoking inside the house... ever. You may smoke on the deck, but please dispose of ashes and cigarette butts appropriately and safely. (flicking them onto the lawn or into the lake is NOT appropriate).
Cleaning Policy:
We hope that all of our guests will treat our house as if it is their own, including keeping it clean. Please leave the house in the same condition in which you found it. We have a cleaning crew that will come in prior to your arrival, and following your departure. They will act as our agent and advise us as to the condition of the house and their assessment will be considered prior to returning your security deposit. PLEASE NOTE: Normal cleaning is included in the rental fee. If the home is left in unsatisfactory condition, additional cleaning fees will be deducted from the security deposit. So please, keep it clean, and everyone will be happy!
Linen Policy:
Linens are not provided. Please bring your own sheets and towels. There are some blankets in the house.
Security Deposit Information:
A $500 security deposit is required prior to check-in. It will be fully refunded to you as long as the house is left in the same condition in which you found it. Of course, if you leave it better than you found it, that's fine too! :)

“We enjoyed a long weekend here while attending a wedding at The Barn at Lord Howe Valley. The house is located in a great spot to see all the local attractions. The owner is wonderful to deal with and quick to respond to questions or concerns and gave us great suggestions and insight on local attractions. The house is set back from the road right on a quiet cove with access to the water for boating ans swimming. There is a wonderful deck overlooking the water and a great yard for any outdoor activities. The house itself had plenty of room and great amenities. ”

“This house is just beautiful and has everything you need for a perfect vacation. The owners were wonderful to work with and they thought of everything. The week we were there it was extremely hot and the air-conditioning was greatly appreciated. Would recommend and would definitely go back again! ”
