“What a stunning home. Everything was tidy, clean, well-designed, cozy and comfortable. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well stocked, and the pool table in the basement was top notch! We loved walking around the neighborhood and even went to the private beach a few times! I cannot recommend this property enough. The owners clearly love and care for this cabin and Lisa was very responsive and helpful when we had questions. My family and I feel very lucky to have found 4 bears. We can't wait to come back! ”

“Our 3 generational family of 6 spent a wonderful week at Camp 4 Bears. The location of the property was great, not far off Route 28 just east of Old Forge. From there we had easy access to Old Forge, Inlet, and points in between for all of the activities we engaged in (hiking, fishing, shopping, etc.). There was ample parking for our 2 vehicles.
The home is gorgeous and nicely laid out. With a finished basement and bedrooms tucked away, we had plenty of privacy and room to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked with just about everything we needed to make our meals. We never lacked for a thing. It was very clean and well maintained, and it was obviously well cared for. It was cold some of the days we were there, but the house retained heat well and we never felt cold. The ceiling fans were also appreciated on the warmer days and nights.
We had 2 dogs with us, and with the tile floors, it was easy to keep the place clean. The deck is enclosed, so the dogs could be there without going in the yard. The neighborhood was great for taking them on walks.
There is a well with a long recovery, but that was very easy to work around once we understood that and was never a problem.
The owners were remarkably responsive. One evening the internet went out, and they immediately reached out to tell us how to restore it before we could even contact them.
Camp 4 Bears is a very special place and we would not hesitate to stay there again.”

“Our family had a wonderful time at the 4 Bears Adirondack cabin. The home was better than the pictures! The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of DVDs and even VCR tapes for rainy days and night. We also used the games in the basement. We loved the privacy, yet close to Old Forge and Inlet. The owners are quick to respond and are very accommodating. We will be returning next summer! ”

“We had a great stay. Place was clean and ready for us. It is furnished in a great Adirondacks theme. It has a fully stocked kitchen with lots of other things to make our stay comfortable. We took advantage of the homeowners association beach and boat ramp this year and it was nice to have the water to go to. Loved the place and look forward to renting again in the future. ”

“This was our fourth year at Camp 4 Bears and it is still one of our favorite vacation spots! The home is beautiful, immaculate and has everything you need for a stress free week of relaxation or activity! Lots of wild life, close to amenities and lakes, trails, shops, etc. but also private and on a dead end road. Fully stocked kitchen, large deck with a grill and outdoor seating. Just perfect! ”

“The camp was as listed, very well maintained and exactly what we expected from an Adirondack getaway. Very good attention to detail, well stocked and comfortable for a short or extended stay. Close to Old Forge but the feel of being in the woods. Abundant wildlife in the area, many deer and even had a bear come through camp!
Convenient to hiking, biking, the lake and rivers for swimming, canoeing and kayaking.
Made for a great family vacation. The wife has already expressed her wishes to return. ”

“Camp 4 Bears is the perfect place to get away to the mountains. Close to town and entertainment but also close to hiking and outdoor activities. Deer are seen every day and the occasional bear! The fire pit is great and the deck is awesome! Especially in the morning with a cup of coffee. The home is beautiful, immaculate and very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen for any cooking you plan to do. This was our third year back and we continue to have a wonderful time... It never gets old!”

“We were very pleased with Camp 4 Bears. When we got there it was clean and very well maintained. We loved the rustic decor. It was well stocked with kitchen supplies, games, videos, and propane for the gas grill. The street it is on was quiet and is very close to town. We were all thrilled with the place and would definitely stay there again. ”

This was our second time renting Camp 4 Bears and as always we had a wonderful experience! The house is lovely and so well stocked....we didn't lack for anything...all the comforts of home! The house is in a wooded, quiet neighborhood yet so close to all activities in Old Forge. We saw dear and a bear ran across the road one day. We can highly recommend this rental and the owners are lovely to deal with!”

“Terrific home in a quiet setting. Very private - yet close to the village (3/4 mile to Enchanted Forest entrance). About $15 per day more than the Old Forge Camping Resorts cottages.
Super clean! All the conveniences of a modern home. Beautiful decor. The smell of knotty pine everywhere. Very comfortable furniture and beds. A large deck with great view of the outdoors, setup high above ground. Backyard with firepit and chairs. Saw lots of deer and even a bear!
Don't forget your pillows, bed sheets, and bath towels. There are ceiling fans in every room but I recommend and extra fan or 2 in the warmer weeks.
Owners are very responsive. Highly recommend.”

“This was by far the nicest place we have ever stayed at on a vacation! The cabin is gorgeous and neat and clean. The layout was so comfortable and having two bathrooms was a huge plus. The amenities stocked where great, wonderful array of dishes and cookware in the kitchen to use. We mistaking thought the beds upstairs in the loft were twin but they were double so we had some finagling to do with the sheets but we found a way to make that work. And we saw a black bear, two deer fawns, and several wild turkey right in the yard! Was a highlight of the trip to see all that wildlife right where we were staying. Great place to stay would definitely recommend it to anyone. ”

“This cabin was a perfect vacation getaway for me and my husband. We also had friends come up for a couple nights. It was immaculate with beautiful furnishings and extremely comfortable beds! Our first night we were visited by a bear at our campfire! We saw deer with fawns and a turkey with 6 babies nearly every day in the yard. The layout of the home is very cozy and has a wonderful deck to sit out on for lunch or dinner. Location is perfect, it is close to town but with a secluded feel as it is on a dead end road with very little traffic. We highly recommend this terrific home!”

“This is an absolutely beautiful home. Every detail - decorations, furnishings, etc seem brand new and very tasteful. Extremely clean. Owners are a delight to work with. Location is right off 28 and very close to Old Forge. Quite and peaceful setting. Perfect for a family of 6 or 8 people. Our daughter loved the large loft upstairs - great place for kids/teens.”

“My family and I have been going on a yearly vacation to the ADK every August for 11 years. It is an opportunity for the three generations to spend a week together which we all value. This year, we stayed at Camp 4 Bears for the first time, and we hope to make it part of our annual vacation plans! The home is beautiful and set up for quality family time with the open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen with a large deck right outside. The hosts have thought of everything you could possibly want/need on a stay including a gas grill, a fire pit, all types of kitchen stuff, a washing machine, and of course, internet access for the younger generation. Camp 4 Bears allowed us to bring our golden retriever with us which was super. We found the home very user friendly for a dog with tile floors to lay on, low windows to see out, and the dead end street which meant little to no traffic. The location is close to Old Forge so it is a quick trip in to our favorite restaurants, shops, and activities. We look forward to our return visit to Camp 4 Bears.

“I cannot say enough about our stay at Camp 4 Bears! The owners are pleasant and accommodating, and the camp was beautiful. On our first evening, there was a mama bear and her 3 cubs walking by (not too close, but close enough to be exciting!) The cabin was beautiful and set up perfectly for our family. It had a cozy, adirondack feel and was spotless and adorable. The location was perfect as well. Having the washer and dryer was convenient, so we didn't have to overpack. We can't wait to rent the cabin again next summer! Thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay.”

“We loved our Summer vacation at 4 Bears! The camp is beautiful and we loved all the adorable decorations. The fire pit and hammock in the back were awesome and the deck was great. We were close to everything but felt secluded in the woods. We saw deer every day and heard there was a bear near by but didn't get to see it. The owners were wonderful to deal with and the neighbors were very nice too. The camp had everything you could need. Me, my husband, 2 kids, mother and father in-law and the dogs all loved it. We would recommend this camp to anyone and everyone and can't wait to return next Summer!”

“Camp 4 Bears was the perfect getaway for our family! There are many many things we really liked about it! It is conveniently located right outside of Old Forge. New build. Very clean and nicely decorated. Quiet neighborhood. Great deck! Comfy master bedroom suite. Games, DVDs, books and puzzles all available. Cozy furniture. Lots of space in the great room. This is a great place to stay!”

“My family stayed here for Thanksgiving this year and the cottage was perfect. Nice open floorplan for hanging out and cooking. The cottage was very clean and decorated nicely. Great location close to town. The weather was great so we had snacks and drinks on the deck. We also climbed Rocky Mountain and met some locals who shared their champagne at the top! We would definitely stay here again!”

“Beautiful home with all necessary ammenities. Love the fireplace and open floorplan. May windows to enjoy the outdoors from inside. Love how close it is to all activities that Old Forge has to offer. When we stayed we went hiking and kayaking down the Moose River. Beautiful day.”

“My family and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. The home is so inviting and comfortable. The Adirondack furnishings are awesome! Our stay was so relaxing, it felt like home! To top out the stay on the last day we had a family of deer come into the yard, they stopped for some time and the children were able to get a good look at them, they were so excited!

“My wife and I rented this property for 8 weeks this summer. The property was absolutely beautiful, just like the pictures in the ad. The property is located just minutes from downtown Old Forge which is very convenient to the water park, shops and restaurants. Even though you're very close to downtown there is still a lot of wild life in the area. We enjoyed our stay so much we are going back again next summer.”

“I rented for the entire 2010-2011 winter season and loved it! Super clean, brand new, spacious, great location for my snowmobiling passion, and well-appointed in every way! Owners are very quick to respond to any of my questions or needs! The ONLY drawback was not having a garage for my sleds...oh well. Wide open floor plan with surrounding windows is beautiful! I am renting again this season because I loved it!”
