Fall 2025 special. Book 4 or more nights at our already discounted seasonal rate and receive half off the final day. Book 7 nights and only pay for 6.

Our vacation home was built as a large single-family summer home for a local Utica family in the 1930's and was recently renovated extensively. It has been lovingly owned and visited by families each summer. It was designed by a well-known Adirondack architect on multiple waterfront lots that include a tennis court, volleyball courts (sand & grass), a large yard, and a wide waterfront with dock and boathouse.

The incredible Adirondack traditional Camp, with 6 bedrooms and 4 baths, is located on the water's edge of the Narrows Channel between Old Forge Pond and First Lake, just minutes from First Lake by canoe, kayak or motorboat (5 minutes at 5 mph). This camp offers just what you dream of in recreation and luxury living for a multi-family or private group Adirondack vacation. It is ideal for yearly reunions!!

The camp includes a comfortable lodge-style living room with fireplace and wide screen TV, a full totally new gourmet kitchen with island seating, and a nice size formal dining room with antique table. The kitchen opens up with French doors to an outdoor deck, barbecue and patios with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs. Three of the 6 bedrooms offer king-size beds with private or semi-private bathrooms. Two bedrooms offer 2 twin beds each, one of which is on the first floor with easy access and an attached bathroom (and TV). The sixth bedroom is a bunk room with two twin upper/full lower bunk beds, accommodating a passel of kids, or comfortable adult sleeping. Although we have enough beds to sleep 16, the ideal arrangement is up to 12 adults, or up to 10 adults plus 6 children in the bunk room.

A large screened-in porch with seating and a table, a small sitting deck, an enormous off-kitchen deck, patios and a large lawn provide ample space to read a book, hold great conversations, or just watch and wave at the slow-moving boats passing by on the Channel. The Channel speed-limit enforces quiet passage so the peaceful setting is not marred by loud motors. The property covers approximately 2.5 acres and includes rustic woods, a tennis court with pickle ball net also, a sand volleyball court, a basketball hoop, a grass volleyball/badminton area (or bocce lawn), a fire pit, a waterfront dock for swimming, a boat house with an open slip and so much more. Don't miss out on a wonderful vacation!

The water system is filtered and softened well water with a drinking water faucet. Bottled drinking water is also provided for use if preferred.

Fire wood is provided in the garage for the indoor fireplace. A separate outdoor woodpile is available for fire pit use.

What to bring: Bath towels, swim suits and towels (for swimming and for your visit to the nearby Enchanted Forest / Water Safari Waterpark), tennis rackets, books to read while lounging in the hammock (feel free to exchange with a book on-sight), wireless or wired electronic toys (free high speed wireless access provided), fishing gear and licenses, boats - your own or rented (sorry, but we do not provide watercraft), sunbathing lounges, camera, hiking boots, golf clubs (a great course within 10 minutes), sand toys for the young ones (the sand volleyball court is great for sand castles).

The kitchen is fully packed with utensils and pots and pans, including a number of large frying pans and pots (a huge lobster pot can be found in the laundry room). We also have 2 microwaves, large drip coffee pot, a large electric skillet, large crock pot and an air fryer. A large set of dishes and tableware sets provide plenty of dishes and can be supplemented with paper plates and plasticware. There is a second refrigerator located in the laundry room to accommodate extra food and drinks.

Thinking of renting in the fall? We have incredible color-changing trees on sight and the view of the hillside across the Channel is a must-see.

Meet the Owner(s)

About Us: We are Brian and Liz, the owners of this property. We love staying at Stags Leap and hope you do too. We've owned the Camp for about 20 years. Although we live offsite, our Caretaker, John, and Housekeeper, Maggie, are wonderful and local. Maggie will be able to answer any questions during your stay. She has been with the property for over 30 years.

Why we think you will enjoy staying in Old Forge: Old Forge is a lively, energetic small town jewel in the middle of the southwest Adirondacks. There is so much to do, from hiking, to a train ride and boat rentals, to the waterpark for the kids. The people are friendly and activities are scheduled throughout the summer. With so many restaurants, the difficulty will be deciding where to eat for that special night out or group family breakfast. We believe you will love the area as we do.

Why our property is special: We love older houses, but that doesn't mean we can't have modern design and amenities. The older rambling style two story camp has been renovated to include comfortable bathrooms, a gourmet open kitchen, and a full master suite. And there are 2 additional master bedrooms and many other rooms and baths for all the family and friends. The home and property are so wide open that it will be hard to tell whether you brought just a few or your entire family. Everyone has space.
