This newly renovated, cozy cabin is located in a private wooded setting that sits on three and one-half acres of land backing up to State Land and Rocky Mountain. Close to hiking and biking trails as well as the beaches at Inlet/Fourth Lake and Brown's Tract Pond has a nice quiet beach just 10 minute away. Five minutes to Inlet, Fern Park and boat launches at Fourth Lake, ten-twelve minutes to Old Forge, ten minutes to Big Moose, the water park and lots of shops and other attractions. Horseback …riding stable nearby also. Moss Lake and Cascade Lake trails 7 minutes away.

We have a washer and dryer at the cabin. These are available for anyone that rents the cabin for 5 nights or more. Any rentals of 4 nights or less, the washer and dryer are not part of the rental package, and breakers to them are off.

This cabin is on Uncas Road, a snowmobile trail road. We have an on-site automatic generator that insures you never are without power. It turns on automatically when power goes out, and runs the whole place, heaters and all.

Rinnai propane heater to supplement the cabin's wood and electric heat.

The cabin has a comfortable living room, wood stove/fireplace, fully stocked kitchen with toaster, coffee maker, hot water teapot, waffle iron, blender, microwave, elec. food chopper, toaster oven, and two crockpots. Screened in back porch with rockers, with views of the woods. A private main bedroom on the first floor has a queen-sized bed. Two loft bedrooms upstairs have 1 queen sized bed, one futon, and two twins, one of which has a trundle bed pull-out.
We have had three bear incidents so far. One was a bear on the back porch because someone left food there. Another was a bear walking up the driveway past the camp. A third (2024)was a sow and her cub in the yard. They are always sniffing out food. Just keep it inside when you are done eating.

Internet phone can call anywhere in the country for free, internet is available, flat-screen TV in LR, another TV upstairs.

Plenty of VHS and DVD movies, 100 or more, including lots of kid's movies, are there at the cabin to watch on rainy days. Three TV's and players, one upstairs for the kids movies, one in the living room, and one in the master bedroom.

We have a nice library of books on shelves throughout the the cabin, many of which are Adirondack oriented. Great for rainy day reading.

Rates

The cabin is available all year. 50% deposit required to hold the date with the balance of the deposit and the full rental fee due 30 days prior to arrival date. If rental is secured less than 30 days prior to arrival, full payment will secure your dates. Take good care of the place for us.

Deposit refund policy if you cancel your reservation: If canceled more than 60 days before the rental start date, 75% refund. If canceled between 30 and 60 days before rental starts, 50% refund. If canceled less than 30 days before rental starts, no refund.

This is a winterized cabin, fully heated and cozy. Backup automatic generator insures constant power for you. Good internet, phone and YouTubeTV. You can use your Amazon prime or Netflix account here on the TV.

Spring, Summer, Fall Seasons: $300 security deposit.

Please note: We do NOT need to begin your rental on a Friday or Saturday.
We can place it wherever you want during the week.

Rates............ $240 per night for weeknights.
$265 per night, Friday and Saturday nights.
$$1,600 per week.

4:00 PM check-in. 11 AM check-out. Call for a possible early check-in, or later check-out. If we can, we will. If we can't, it is usually because it is rented back-to-back.

We have secure, locked garage accommodations for snowmobiles. Winter season rentals, available wood supply, electric, internet, etc. can be discussed by phone. Renters are responsible for buying their own wood, plowing, and electric and propane costs.

Pet Policy: One pet is allowed for an additional $50 fee. Additional pets after the first one are $20 each. We are 200 feet of the road, so your pets are pretty safe from traffic. If you take them out back, it's all wooded for a mile or more, all the way to the top of Rocky Mountain.
So far, we've had only a couple of bad issues with pets on vacation with their owners. We have had our own pets, and we know you'd like to bring your pet with you. Keep them off the furniture and clean up after them outside.
Smoking Policy: Sorry no smoking permitted inside the cabin or porch areas. Any smoking is outside, and please pick up any butts.
Cleaning Policy: We do not utilize a cleaning service. Renters are expected to wash and put away all dishes, pots/pans, and utensils used. Vacuum cleaners and cleaning supplies are provided. One vacuum is upstairs and one downstairs. Cabin should be left clean upon your departure. There is NO cleaning service. Upon departure please vacuum and sweep up, wash and put away dishes, clean table, stove and counters, make SURE bathroom is cleaned, pick-up inside and outside of home. Remove ALL garbage from property:
Bring a few garbage bags with you. Garbage can is under kitchen sink. Remove all garbage to the Inlet transfer station on Limekiln road. This is free to drop off there. You can also just bring it home, if you cannot get to the transfer station. The next renter does not want to start their vacation with your refuse. Please be considerate.
Enjoy, and take good care of the cabin. Bring your own linens. We have the blankets and pillows for you. This cabin is rented quite a lot, and all renters will need to spend time cleaning the place for the next renter. Some cleaning supplies and vacuums are at the cabin for you to use. This is why we do not charge an up-front cleaning fee. Remember, minimum of $100 charge if not left clean for the next renter. It only takes an hour or less. Thank you for your consideration.
Linen Policy: Renters should provide own bedsheets and pillowcases, soaps, shampoos, bath towels, personal things like that. We have blankets and pillows there.
Security Deposit Information: $300 refundable security deposit (upon inspection, and the cabin is found to be in good condition).
