The cabin is nestled in the foot hills of the SW Adirondack Mountains in Salisbury, NY. It sits on quiet, wild Spruce La …ke, a pristine non-motorized lake 3 feet from the back porch. It's a convenient 4 hour drive from midtown NYC, a 4 hour drive from Buffalo, a 3 1/2 hour drive from Boston, a 1 1/2 hour drive from Syracuse and a 1 hour drive from Albany.
The cabin sits on 1 acre with the lake as the back yard and forest as its other border. The property and area abounds with hiking trails, cross country skiing, wildlife watching and snowmobiling. Large mouth, small mouth bass, lake trout, pickerel, cat fish and perch fishing are in the lake outside the door. Trout stocked streams are but a short drive from the camp for the fly fishing enthusiast. Enjoy the sounds of loons, geese and bullfrogs right outside your door. The cabin is a 1 hour drive to Saratoga Race Track, SPAC, Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame.
Spruce Lake Cabin includes the following: 3 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths bathrooms decorated in Adirondack style with maximum comfort in mind. The environment provides all the rugged rustic lifestyle of the wild Adirondacks with the convenience and pleasure of living in a home with every need accounted for.
The first floor has a master bedroom with 1/2 bathroom and queen size bed. The 2nd floor bedroom has a queen size bed. The 3rd bedroom which is also the 4 season sun room has a twin bed with a pull out trundle. Also located on the first floor is a full bathroom with tub/shower and a mud room with a washer and dryer. The great room with large fireplace and 18' ceilings, TV and DVD leads to the sun porch and lake. The fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and more! Dining with seating for 6. Open deck at lakeside for reading and relaxing and two docks for fishing, boating and swimming. A fire pit for S'mores and camp fire stories. 2 canoes and a row boat included with rental.
Lovely Little Falls only 10 minutes away offers summer concerts, festivals, antiques, museums and restaurants.

“This is a wonderful vacation rental. The house is adorable, clean, comfortable and the owners obviously take great pride in the property, The back porch was our favorite spot. Great view of the lake! If you are into canoeing, the boat provided is a high-quality canoe. We had a great visit and hope to return again. ”

“What a spectacular lakehouse! If you're looking for the HGTV experience, this is it. The location...peaceful and beautiful. The house...no detail missed, cozy and comfortable with such beautiful design sense from the owners. True super hosts. Really spectacular! We couldn't have been happier all weekend, and I know we'll be looking to come back for longer in the future. This is a 10! ”

“We had a great time at the Spruce Lakehouse. Beautiful interior with comfortable seats, beds, and couches. The Day Room in the back was AWESOME with its bright view of the lake. We caught some nice fish off the dock, and went out on the rowboat a few times. The rowboat was a nice big Grumman but was easier to manage with the oars then an electric motor - the wind kept turning us! Lol! But still was a great boat to catch fish from. Everything was organized beautifully and efficiently. The owner is VERY sweet and helpful, and we got a lot of much needed relaxation. There actually was some good cellular service so our phones worked well (I'm sure there are times when it's spotty- only speaking for us). Weather held up nice- great to just recline in one of the Adirondack chairs outside. We shopped for food, antiques, gifts, clothes and found great restaurants to eat in between BBQ nights. (The house has a great charcoal grill). Most towns were 20 to 40 minutes away but such an easy ride- straight through the beautiful farmlands and the roads were easy to navigate. I'd suggest New Hartford as a town to check out. We visited both the Baseball Hall of Fame and the Turning Stone Casino- both excellent. All in all I'd say it was a wonderful vacation with a BIG thanks to the owners. I'd definitely recommend it to all. The lake is gorgeous. Depending on how our year goes with family schedules, we may just be revisiting next year. Cheers!”

“My family had a wonderful time while staying at this lake house! The house was beautiful, inside and out! It was so nice not having to bring towels, linens, dishes, etc. The use of kayaks, canoes, and paddleboard was great for enjoying the lake. The lake was perfect for swimming and fishing as it was so calm and quiet without the use of motorized boats. We felt at home and didn't want to leave after the relaxing week we spent there. We would definitely consider vacationing to this property again!”

“Absolutely gorgeous, perfect location! Enjoyed 3 relaxing days of early morning coffee on the dock in serenity listening to nothing but the birds singing. Daily canoeing, swimming,and paddle boarding on the lake. Clear, moonlit starry nights around a bonfire. Lake house cabin, especially the kitchen, was very well supplied, nice ADK decor, clean, comfortable beds, plenty of windows and fans to circulate the air and keep the lake house cool even on the warmest day (mid-80's). Plenty to do for kids (17 and 21) or just relax (husband and myself). My family enjoyed every minute and did not want to leave. Definitely will return and recommend to others! Owners are very friendly and accommodating!”

“This was a wonderful place for a relaxing, peaceful, quiet get together with friends. The house is large, comfortable and very well equipped. The kayaks and paddleboard were a huge plus--we didn't have to rent/transport any ourselves. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, and the grill was perfect for summer cooking. We had fires every night in the fire pit. We lounged in the hammock and chairs on the dock. We enjoyed the lake, of course--exploring on the water and just plain sitting on the dock and letting the water and forested shore work their magic. Beds were comfortable. The kids enjoyed the DVD collection. We loved it!”

“Everything about our stay was perfect. The house is beautifully maintained and furnished, and we were able to leave the world behind for a few days without feeling like we were missing anything. The fireplace and sun room were personal favorites - especially with cold, snowy weather and a frozen lake right outside. An ideal getaway for a couple or family that's looking for some quiet time.”

“Our stay at Spruce Lake could not have been any better. If you are looking for a place to unwind, this is it. The cabin is really comfortable and updated with tons of charm. You can feel the pride of ownership as soon as you walk in as the house is meticulously decorated and all amenities supplied. Our family of five, kids ages 9,8,4, had our best vacation yet. We spent the days kayaking, fishing, and swimming - (kids loved jumping off the dock!!). The house is on a very private lot so it feels like you have the entire lake to yourself. A wonderful place to get away and make family memories. We are looking forward to getting back soon.”
