“Our weeklong stay at Sciortino Shores was absolutely wonderful. From before we even arrived, the owners were so accommodating with all our questions regarding specifics about the home and the area, including recommendations about renting a boat. My extended family members were very comfortable in the modern and very clean house which is beautifully furnished. The beds were very comfortable and it was so handy having a washer and dryer! The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed to cook some meals and we availed ourselves of the large gas grill on the patio as well. The location and view of this lovely camp is everything!! The views of the lake and mountains from inside the home are a plus, but the best views of Third Lake are from the beautiful fire pit area, dock and the kayaks and paddle boards as we traveled to a nearby peaceful creek and took a short paddle through the channel to Fourth Lake. An added plus is that the ground level Trex decks, path to the dock and the dock itself were very wheelchair accessible for our dad. This trip to one of his favorite locations meant everything to him. From this ideal location, just far enough out of town to feel like we were really getting back to nature, we took short drives into the towns of Old Forge and Inlet, as well as to the trailhead of Bald Mountain for a hike to the summit and a day trip up to Blue Mountain Lake to visit the Adirondack Museum. The owner even checked in by text during the week just to make sure everything was as we expected but it was truly beyond our expectations. We certainly hope to stay at this beautiful home again in the future! ”

“Our 3rd year in a row staying at this beautiful camp. We know what to expect upon arrival but we are always blown away by the cleanliness and coziness. Not to mention that walking out on the back patio is straight out of an ADK magazine. There isn't many experiences better than having fun on the water with your family. Building memories sitting on the dock, roasting mellows the fire pit, or driving the short distance to inlet or old forge to hike. We enjoy it a little more each year and feel lucky Brian has had the availability for us. Thank you for the opportunities to build lifelong memories with our friends and family! Wakeboarding soon?”

“From the moment we walked in the front door and saw the amazing views and immaculate camp we felt it was going to be a great vacation. We were so right! The location on Third Lake is picture perfect. The newly renovated camp is in excellent condition. It has all the essentials and it is very neat and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed taking in the views of the lake from both inside the camp through the wall of windows and outside in the large fire-pit and dock areas. It was also a nice feature that we had access to the kayaks on the property. We used them frequently to explore the lake.
The location is very convenient to the many ADK hiking trails and to both Inlet and Old Forge.
The owners were very attentive, accommodating, helpful and easily accessible.
Overall, it was an amazing stay. We had a wonderful time at Sciortino Shores and would love the opportunity to stay there in the future. ”

“This was our first visit to 3rd lake. The cottage was great. The fireplace overlooking the lake provides for those special lake evenings we have come to enjoy. Plenty of space and comfort for our family of 4. Great location for the boat and for grocery shopping. We had a great time.”

“Our second consecutive year being lucky enough to grab a week at Sciortino Shores, we knew what we were in store for. Pulling into the driveway the feeling of comfort sets in. Neat, clean and all the necessities needed to relax. Spacious and bright inside with plenty of room. Sandy floor in the lake makes moving around in the water easy. The fire pit holds some solid secrets from conversations and I'm positive not just ours! Memories were made again and we couldn't ask for better hosts. The place is amazing. Looking forward to 2021”

“We have stayed here several times and it continues to be our favorite vacation spot. There are recent improvements each time we come back. The new master bath is very nice, along with new carpet in the master bedroom. We always come with a small group that includes 4 small children and they have a blast catching fish, swimming, and feeding ducks off the dock. The location is great, right between Old Forge and Inlet, so its just a short trip to get ice, firewood, groceries, etc. We had a great time as always and we're looking forward to coming back!”

“From the moment you drive down into the driveway relaxation sets in. This is a beautiful camp, in a perfect location. Plenty of sun or shade whichever you prefer. The yard is big enough for kids to play, plenty of room for activities and games. The fire pit is amazing, so peaceful drinking coffee around the fire in the morning listening to the loons, and in the evening looking up at the stars. The camp itself is just perfect, very clean, plenty of room, comfortable beds, has everything you can want or need. Everything is neatly organized, and at your fingertips. At one point I needed a safety pin and sure enough there was a little baggie with pins, paper clips, rubber bands etc in the drawer. The owners are delightful to deal with, very pleasant and accommodating and quick to answer any questions you have. This camp is amazing and we will definitely be back next summer!!! ”

“This is an amazing camp in an amazing location. Half way between Old Forge and Inlet you are close enough to everything the area has to offer and isolated enough for relaxation. Lake side easy access to the chain of lakes. The recently added fire pit is great for late nights along the water. Highly recommended. Owners are attentive and easy to communicate with if anything is needed.”

“Sciortino Shores does not disappoint! The first thing you notice upon entering the camp is how clean and how well laid out the floor plan is. Beautiful hardwoods with the rustic cabin accents really make you feel welcome. The next thing you notice through the dining room glass front is the location on third lake! Located on the edge of third lake at the channel that leads to 4th lake, makes swimming in the sandy lake floor right off the dock safe since boats are required to reduce speeds entering the channel. Sunsets by the firepit that lead to the moonlight lighting up the lake is something everyone should experience. All the amenities you need and then some are right there. We had a great week and would highly recommend spending a vacation here. Truly one of the best experiences we've had at one of the nicest places we've had the luxury of staying at. ”

“We just had the great pleasure of renting Sciortino Shores for a week. It was spectacular! The place is great, the location is perfect between Old Forge and Inlet. The shoreline and waterfront is awesome. Everything you could want was at the camp. It was like staying at a nice resort. We rented a boat from Rivetts and kept it right at their beautiful dock. Everything was better than we could have hoped for. The Sciortino's were the best to work with, and couldn't be nicer! We are already looking forward to coming back next year!”

“I've rented several properties in Old Forge and Lake George and Sciortino Shores is at the top of the list.
The location is ideal and the house is clean and extremely well-kept. You walk out on the back deck and there's a spectacular view and the water is just 30 feet away. There's a beautiful view of Third Lake and surrounding mountains as the camp sits right by the channel connecting Third and Fourth Lakes.
There's a brand-new fire pit with stone platform, a nice deck area and big grill available. There's plenty of seating available on the deck and fire pit.
The owners also let you use their four kayaks and paddle board, which were a big hit with all seven of us. Before our vacation I looked at renting kayaks and the price was around $60-70 per day per kayak. Then I saw they let you use their's which saved us a lot of money. We all used the paddle board and kayaks several times per day and we went swimming around the dock.
The lake is quite shallow around the dock, so you could walk out quite far and it's still just about five feet deep. The owners also have life jackets for all sizes available.
The interior is very clean with wood floors through the living/kitchen and dining rooms. The two bedrooms and loft are carpeted. The master bedroom has a bathroom/washer/dryer room attached. Our kids stayed up in the loft, which has one bed that can sleep two, plus there's plenty of room to put down a cot (available at camp), air mattress or sleeping bag. I've stayed in many camps that have uncomfortable beds with rock-hard mattresses. This camp has thick gel memory foam on the beds that were very comfortable.
There's a large sectional couch in the living room and television available with satellite. They also have an X-Box available in case the kids have to wait out a rainy period.
I could go into detail about every inch of the place, but the bottom line is, if you're looking for a quiet, beautiful vacation rental in Old Forge, there aren't many better, affordable deals than Sciortino Shores.
We certainly plan on staying there again!”

“We spent the 1st weekend in June here. It is a gorgeous place. Very clean and spacious. Everything was there and the view was awesome. We went swimming and used the paddle boards and campfire at night was a nice getaway for the weekend. I would definitely recommend renting this.

“We stayed at this lovely camp last week, the weather was absolutely perfect just like the premises. There is nothing you lack, it was spotless, completely furnished with all the amenities that you would need. The lake is like glass in the morning, and the view is outstanding. We kayak every morning, it was like you were in heaven. I would definitely recommend this camp to anyone. ”

“We had an incredible time at Sciortino Shores. Brian and Krissy were very warm and welcoming and willing to help us out with whatever we may have needed. The location of this lake house is outstanding as it has views of Bald Mountain and the expanse of Third Lake. The sunsets were beautiful and the outdoor fireplace was just perfect for ending the day. The lake house was very clean and had every amenity one could wish for. We loved that the master bedroom had a beautiful view of the lake. It was so peaceful in the morning sitting at the dining room table drinking our coffee and looking out over the lake. We loved the fact that the cottage is centrally located between Old Forge and Inlet. And for those who love golf, you can choose between Thendara Golf Course or the Inlet Golf Course. The property is meticulously kept, both inside the cottage and the grounds outside. We will definitely return to this "Camelot"on Third Lake. Thank you Brian and Krissy for a very memorable stay at Sciortino Shores.”

“This was our second time staying here and we had another great time. The loft and large outdoor space provided plenty of room for four adults and three small children. We took advantage of the proximity to Old Forge and Inlet this year and spent time at Enchanted Forest and the beach in Inlet. The location of this house is such that you are just close enough to Old Forge and Inlet that you can drive in to pick up food, supplies, etc. if need be, but far enough away to actually feel "away." It is also located near the channel to fourth lake, which we used to get to Alger Island Park and the marina on Fourth Lake. The kids had fun waving to boaters cruising through the channel, which is busier mid-day on the weekends but is pretty minimal in the mornings and evenings and especially so during the week. We caught several species of fish right off the dock this year, including a very nice Northern Pike. We were also able to catch brook trout in Third Lake Creek, which is just a short paddle away. Already looking forward to coming back!”

“ We were thrilled with this place. Three adults and six children stayed in this cottage for 4 nights and we had a great time! While this cottage is not huge, we weren't uncomfortably crammed in with our tribe either. The cabin was very tidy and clean and was exactly what we had been looking for. Among the things we appreciated were the 4 kayaks and a stand up paddle board that we could use, the linens and towels were provided, and the washer and dryer. (saved us packing and time, not needing to run to the laundromat, which was a big plus) The lake bottom was sandy and tapered off gradually, which made it great swimming for our younger children. Also, Brian and Krissy checked in a few times just to see if we had any needs. I would recommend this place to anyone, although I do have to mention that the cottage is close to the channel leading to Fourth Lake and on the weekends it wasn't the quietest place due to the boats coming and going. It was a lot quieter on the weekdays though. Thumbs up in spite of this! ”

“My wife and I spent the weekend here from Fri. 9/30 to Sun.10/2/16. We absolutely loved everything about the place! It was spacious enough for the 2 of us with the open L-shaped floor plan on the 1st floor, but still very cozy. We especially enjoyed having a view of the lake from practically every room,even the front bedroom. The weather didn't totally cooperate,as it was a little too chilly and rainy to have a fire outside, but there's a nice set-up for that with the adk. chairs all around..Being only 5-6 miles from the villages of Old Forge or Inlet meant all kinds of activities were close at hand.. We took the Fall Foliage train ride out of Old Forge which was very enjoyable.I would highly recommend this place to anyone ...

“Sciortino Shores is excellent! Highly recommended! Very clean and well kept. Great location and plenty of sun and shade on the property with plenty of room for outdoor activities as well as indoor activities. Easy to get to with plenty of room for parking. The view of third lake is fantastic. The house is at the end of 3rd lake so you have an unobstructed view clear across to the other end. Way more amenities than can be listed on the site. We really didn't have to bring anything but our clothes and food! Our small children had a great time playing in the grass, feeding the ducks, swimming, and catching fish right off the end of the dock. We all had a great stay and would love to come back! Thank you so much! ”

“Wonderful Vacation! The camp was exceptional .Brian and Krissy have an excellent property in the Adirondacks. We enjoyed ever minute. The camp had everything we needed. We enjoyed our breakfast and dinners in the dinner area overlooking the lake. The view of Bald Mountain was spectacular. My daughter and I enjoyed kayaking each morning. My daughter was pleased with the catch of the day off the dock . Plenty of walking right outside the camp. Very comfortable and relaxing vacation plan to stay next year again. “We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sciortino Shores. The large amount of waterfront, lawn and dock received plenty of sunshine throughout the afternoon and evening and an incredible view of Third Lake and Bald Mountain. We enjoyed our kayak rides, naps in the hammock, and nightly campfires while watching the sunset. The kids enjoyed long days of swimming, paddle boarding and fishing (they were able to catch fish right from the dock all day long). The location was great -- outside of the 'tourist' area but close enough to Old Forge and Inlet to easily drive into town for necessities. Close to Water Safari and numerous hiking trails and mountains. The camp itself was more like a home. It was perfect for our family of four plus dog -- loved the rustic, Adirondack charm and all of the modern conveniences. The owners were very friendly, accommodating and accessible. Thanks for a wonderful week! ”

“Brian and Krissy were excellent hosts and made sure our stay was enjoyable. Upon arriving there were a few nice welcoming gifts; soaps, local bakery goodies, and a 6 pack of Saranac. The large composite patio is great for grilling / entertaining and the large dock accommodated our two 18 ft boats and 2 jet skis with plenty of room to spare. There was ample room to lounge and relax on the dock which gets plenty of sunshine throughout the day. Swimming and fishing was also good from the dock, the bottom was sandy. The paddle board and kayaks provided were a nice added touch & we enjoyed the use of them. There were numerous restaurants, bakery's etc. all accessible by boat or car. Brian recommended many places to us and we were never disappointed. The house was well equipped and comfortable for our group; 4 adults, 3 kids, and our dogs.The only downside for us was that the week went by way too quickly!!! ”
