This was our first experience booking through a 3rd party and it was great. Ray and Linda are kind, gracious hosts. The place was exactly as advertised and more. We brought clothes and all food we needed and nothing more. House fulling stocked with dishes, towels and cookware. Beds were comfy. The deck loaded with comfortable chairs, we had great weather so were outside everyday. Ate at couple local places, enjoyed food and service even with covid-19. We are ready to book for next year!!! 5/5 WONDERFUL QUITE CABIN IN A GREAT LOCATION
The property is well maintained and well stocked. It was so great that all we really needed to bring to the cabin was food and clothing. We had access to a long dock and a bunch of different boats, which we made good use of. Another big plus is that the property is located across from a big island which blocks a lot of the waves created by motorboats and the wind, making for really great swimming and kayaking conditions. We didn't have any issues during our stay, but it was comforting to know that the property manager was nearby if we needed any assistance. The neighborhood is very friendly and walk-able. We had a very nice week at the lake. The outside space at this property is great! Large lawn, comfortable lounging and entertainment space/grilling, eating area. We enjoyed docking our boat on the nice long dock.

With 70' of private beach and 70' of boat docking space your choices of activities are endless. If you like water sports, you can swim, boat, fish, sail or water-ski ; if not you can enjoy the flowers in the garden and the awesome sunsets. Bring the family to the lake and plan on having a vacation you'll always remember. The views from the attached decks are fantastic. The waterfront is just 125' from the cottage. The only things you need to bring are the groceries and your clothes - all the cooking utensils, the outdoor grill, lawn furniture are provided. Inside the tastefully decorated 13 year old cottage you'll find a fridge, microwave, 4 burner gas stove and oven as well as 4 TVs. A stackable washer and dryer a new full bathroom and outdoor shower have been added in a new out building. Its waiting just for you to enjoy !!!!

HISTORY
The GREAT SACANDAGA LAKE ( formerly the SACANDAGA RESERVOIR (name changed) is in fact a true reservoir and reaches its maximum depth and water volume the end of April & the first part of May. From June through August the water level slowly recedes depending on amount of rainfall and extreme (hot summer) weather conditions. By mid September in our very sheltered bay the water levels may or may not be suitable for swimming, fishing or boating however many boaters continue to rent our facilities and launch their boats daily from the public launch which is just 3 miles down the road and utilize other parts of the lake for there boating pleasure. The months of May, June, July & August have very predictable later levels and are the IDEAL/BEST months to fulfill you lake recreational needs.

Boating, fishing, swimming, jet skiing, water skiing; 55 min to Great Escape Track, Performing Arts.; 35 minutes to Saratoga Race Track; Saratoga performing Arts center: ballet, concerts; distance to airport: 45 miles nearest airport: Albany International. We had a wonderful time. Ray was a great host and was very helpful during our stay. Lake was very clean and warm even in June. Amsterdam is only 20 min away- you can go do all your shopping there. Definitely recommend this vacation rental.
