Completely remodeled year round cottage in the heart of Forestport NY. Large outdoor deck overlooks the spacious yard and scenic waterfront property. Get ready for nights under the stars, in front of the outdoor fireplace, or enjoy fishing, swimming or kayaking.
The cottage has three bedrooms. Master bedroom has queen bed and its own full bathroom. There is a second bathroom with showe …r stall just off the kitchen, and two more bedrooms; one that will sleep two, and one sleeps three. There is a sleeper sofa in the living-room with a Queen size air mattress -super comfortable!-and another separate Queen size air mattress. All bed linens are provided.
Washer and dryer are also available on premises.
Kitchen is completely furnished with all dishware, silverware, pots and pans and linens. We try to supply you with as much as possible-paper towels, toilet paper, storage bags, garbage bags, etc, so you need only bring food and clothing! It has been completely remodeled with new flooring, cabinets, countertops and appliances. There is enough dishware and seating at the dining table, to serve 10 to 12 people.
WiFi is included along with NetFlix and Amazon Prime.
Cottage is within walking distance of a great little diner, a lively town watering hole, and various village amenities such as the weekly flea market and bake sale.
Great walking and hiking trails in the summer. Close to snowmobile and cross country ski trails for a winter get away.
A 30 minute drive will get you to Old Forge, or in the other direction, to Utica.
An on demand hot water heater means no waiting for water to heat for the next person to shower.
Grill is hooked up the propane tank for the cottage so you don't have to refill tanks.
There is a dock for swimming or fishing and we supply kayaks and many assorted floats. There is a sand box for the little ones, And for those who want to relax, a hammock!
This is a little gem in the foothills of the Adirondacks and shouldn't be overlooked! The convenient location, lovely property and newly renovated cottage make it a great get away!

About Us: My name is Barb This cottage has been lovingly restored to be super cozy! And I look forward to sharing it with you! I live in Mazatlan Mexico throughout the fall and winter months and will be living in our newest construction across the street from July 1 to November 1 or before the first snow fall! Consider Starr's Nest for a weekend skiing vacation in the winter or a cozy leaf peeping get away!
Why we think you will enjoy staying in Forestport: Lots of things to see and do. Old Forge with Water Safari, shops and restaurants is 30 mins north. Head a little farther north to Blue mountain lake to visit the Adirondack Museum and more scenic hiking trails. Hiking trails are abundant for all hiker levels. Utica is a short drive south with an abundance of things to see and do! Winter is coming and we get snow! We sit at the junction of two snowmobile trails. We are 10 mins from BREIA, one of the finest free cross country ski / snowshoe trails
Why our property is special: Peaceful setting despite the close proximity to Rt 28. Friendly, scenic surroundings. Take a walk to the diner each morning for fresh, warm donuts or a hearty breakfast. Afterward you can explore the dam and hiking trails, or swim, kayak or fish. At night sit around the fire pit and listen to the water running over the dam.Walk the Black River trail and explore this beautiful little gem of an area!
