Our family vacation home has 3 bedrooms in the main house with 2 new full bathrooms, a beautiful new open concept kitchen, a wood-burning stove in the large open dining area which opens to a large living room with a propane gas fireplace. There is an upstairs master bedroom with a queen size bed, walk-in closet and separate bath. There is also a new deck off the master bedroom with a view of the lake. Downstairs is a bedroom with two twin beds and a cozy bunk room with four full size bunk bed …s (potentially sleeping up to 8 people) and another new full bathroom with a tub and shower. There is also a large deck off the kitchen and living room with a beautiful cedar table and benches. Through a hallway you can climb the stairs to the one bedroom, one bathroom with a tub and shower, apartment with a fully stocked kitchenette and a large living room with a sofa-bed and television. If only one person sleeps in each full size bed, the house and apartment can accommodate 11 people. There is a common area accessible from both the house and the apartment that has an entryway, laundry room and two car garage. You may rent the main house with the apartment or just the main house or just the apartment. The apartment is wonderful for parents with small children or infants that want to be with a group but have children that don't sleep through the night or need quiet to sleep during the day.
The house is located on a short private street that leads to the lake, approximately 120 yards from our house. The center of town with a grocery store is a 2 minute drive or a 12 minute walk. Camp of the Woods is 1.5 miles from the house and offers countless amenities and services for a fee.

Cleaning Policy: We expect the house to be left the way you found it, neat and undamaged. Standard cleaning and disinfecting is included in the price. The cost of any damage or specialty cleaning will be deducted from the security deposit.

Linen Policy: We supply pillows and comforters for all the beds. You bring sheets for the beds and towels. All queen and full mattresses are new so please keep them clean and dry. There are 2 queen, 5 full (including sofa bed) and 2 twin beds.

Security Deposit Information: Security deposit of $750 is to be provided at the time of final payment, four weeks prior to arrival. If house and contents are left clean and undamaged, the deposit will be mailed within 3 weeks of your departure.

About Us: We are the parents of 5 adult children. We purchased this home as a place where we can spend quality time with our family and friends where everyone can be comfortable. We would like to share this with you with the understanding that this is our home and we expect it to be enjoyed with care.

Why we think you will enjoy staying in Speculator: Whether you just want to sit back and relax or explore the wilderness, it is all available nearby. Lakes, beaches, boating, rivers, mountain trails to hike, caves to explore and rocks to climb, are all available for your active dream vacation. If you prefer more refined activities, nearby Camp of the Woods has summer staff that provides wonderful orchestral music, amazing Christian speakers and countless other activities that are available at extra cost.

Why our property is special: Our property is unique in its ability to comfortably accommodate many people with comfortable beds, a large and beautiful kitchen, dining room and living room as well as the large deck. It is located in a very convenient location close to a restaurant at the end of our street on Route 8 and the center of town. We have just added air conditioning in the common areas of the house and apartment. The deck with a view of the lake and the large back deck accommodate time alone or with a group.
