“This my second time at this amazing home,
The owner has provided everything you might need for a wonderful stay. The home is neat and clean and the view by the river is spectacular. There is a huge fireplace inside and a great outside firepit with lots of seating
You just provide the wood and the marshmallows. I have rented many properties in Wilmington and this is the best
”

“My family of four had a great, week-long stay at River Rose in early August. The home was a great size for our needs, with a big master bedroom and a great view. The same view is shared out of the sun room, which spans the rest of the width of the house and overlooks Lake Everest/West Branch of the Ausable. We had to do some work during our vacation. The Wi-Fi was strong and sufficient for VPN and Zoom calls, and the sun room, which was a pleasure to work in if you had to work, is separated from the rest of the house. This afforded us the privacy from the rest of the house that we needed for work while still offering a view for some supervision of the kids. We brought our own Roku but could have used the smart TV to sign into various streaming accounts. We had two major rain events during the stay but the property, dock, and yard (there's a great fire pit not shown in the pictures) dried quickly and were able to be used. The home was neat and clean when we arrived. The dock at the river allowed us to put out our canoe and paddle board, but we did paddle them over from the nearby Wilmington town beach rather than attempt walking them down the stairs to the dock - only a 5-10 minute paddle. Fantastic paddling up the river if you wish, and decent fishing in the river above the dam. The water temp cooled and level rose with all the rain and afforded me some good trout fishing opportunities below the dam. If you don't know Wilmington, it's a beautiful small town. Lot's of touristy things, but on a smaller scale and without the traffic of nearby Lake Placid. It's a great home base for hiking, paddling, fishing, and relaxing. The home is located within easy walking distance (5 - 10 minutes?) of the center of town. The owners of the home were great to work with by email. If we head back to Wilmington for a stay, we'll definitely look up the River Rose again. ”

“Our family of 5 returned to River Rose for a second year staying during the President's Week vacation. The house is perfect and really feels like home. The kitchen is well equipped, you have a washer/dryer set up, 2 bathrooms are key for families with teens! and the view in the winter is beautiful, with a roaring wood fire to complete the picture. Whiteface Mtn is so close to drive and you can even see it from the house. This is a great vacation home, thanks to the owners for sharing it! ”

“We were a group of six and stayed at River Rose for a long weekend of skiing at Whiteface, and I cant say enough about what a lovely experience it was.The house is beautiful - the sun comes in and lights the whole place up in the morning and the fireplace is so cosy and inviting after a long day of skiing. The (heated) veranda really makes the most of a beautiful view of the river and mountains. It felt like we had escaped to a tranquil mountain hideaway while still being right in the town of Wilmington and walking distance from everything we needed.Everything was clean and well-kept, our beds were comfortable and we had everything we could want to keep us entertained. The arrangement and check in process was very straightforward and our host was very responsive both before and during our stay. Thank you so much for a lovely weekend! We would love to come back if we are ever at Whiteface again.”

“We had a fantastic time at River Rose! It was such a cozy cabin that had everything we needed for our family, and within walking distance to a playground, grocery store, coffee and pizza. The view of Whiteface Mountain and from the dock were spectacular. We look forward to coming back next year! ”

“What a little gem! Our stay this past weekend couldn't have been better. 3 of us went up to see the beautiful fall foliage and run the Lake Placid Classic 10k. WHat a perfect weekend! The cabin is so cute and has absolutely everything you could want. It is so convenient to so much of the high peaks beauty. The view from the dock is beyond spectacular. We had a fabulous weekend and hope to be able to return another time. Thanks for sharing your cabin so others can enjoy!”

“Beautiful views of Whiteface mtn.range and the Ausable River. The home is very clean and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The only problem was that the time went by too fast and am looking forward to returning next year.
