Location! Location! Location! If you are looking to stay in a private yet accessible mountain retreat that leads to a great Adirondack vacation we have the spot for you. This charming and comfortable two bedroom camp boasts knotty pine woodwork through out, cathedral ceilings in the great room area, a modern kitchen with a great view of the lake and mountains. If 800 feet of waterfront on two plus acres of property is not enough privacy with room to explore, we can also offer access not to one, … but two lakes, and approximately five miles of river area for those who like to canoe. The camp is located directly on Mountain View Lake , which is connected to Indian Lake to the North, and the Salmon River to the South, all located in the northern section of New York State's great Adirondack Park .
Inside this year-round camp is a master bedroom with a log double bed and two large closets. The second bedroom is furnished with a double bed with plenty of windows. A den that can sleep two. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, a large refrigerator, electric stove and a microwave, with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. There is also a washer and dryer. The great room offers comfortable seating with a Futon couch that unfolds into a double bed. The large adjacent sunroom offers comfortable seating, with all of the living area looking directly out to the lake and mountains. Internet is available which permits TV streaming of local and national programming as well as seamless phone service from you cell phone if your provider uses wifi enabled service.
Regardless of the season, this location offers a variety of hiking, fishing and exploring options. The camp is located a short 10 minute drive from the top-notch 36-hole Malone Golf Course. In the winter, Titus Mountain Ski area is just minutes away, offering a great family mountain with 27 trails, snowboarding, tubing, night skiing, two lodges and snow-making capabilities. The camp also offers easy access to a major snowmobile trail, opening up literally hundreds of miles of trails. A full-service year-round restaurant is just a short stroll away.
There is more! From camp you are within an hour drive to the northern high peaks region of the Adirondack Mountains, Lake Placid, White Face Mountain, Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake. More great hiking, canoeing, fishing, horseback riding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, wildlife viewing, and Adirondack Mountain experiences at your doorstep. If all of this isnt enough, maybe a trip to Montreal, Canada just an hour away is the international experience you were looking for. I am bushed, camp feels great, how about you?

“If you are looking for peace, tranquility, and beautiful lake and mountain vistas, this is the perfect setting, and there's nothing better than sitting around a campfire in the evening and seeing the moon reflect off the water. It's the best! The owners take extraordinary pride in their property and are extremely nice to work with. The cabin, or camp as referred to by Adirondackers, is exceptionally clean and provides all the comforts needed for a relaxing vacation. This waterfront property is at the end of a short lane in the hamlet of Mt. View where we find the neighbors to be both friendly and helpful. There is a dock from which to launch a canoe or kayak and a nearby boat launch for larger watercraft. For swimming, it's only a short paddle across the lake to a sandy beach and island area, or a short ride or 15 minute walk to a public beach. There are three restaurant/bars in the area, each of which has it's own appeal and one that's a stone's throw away from camp. The other two are about a 5 minute ride away. This area is also great for biking, hiking, fishing, and exploring on and off the water, and it'is a beautiful little piece of Adirondack Paradise! You don't feel like a tourist here, but just another family visiting!”

“My wife and I recently completed our stay and enjoyed it immensely. This is the third time in the past five years we have spent a week here and each stay has been great. The location provides for an absolutely great view of the sun rising over the mountain across the lake and it is very peaceful and quiet. Great local restaurant within walking distance of the camp. You can hear the loons on the lake at night and we even saw a beaver swim by the front of the camp this year. All the amenities of home in an idyllic setting--very definitely two thumbs up on this review.”
